Adair vs. Lincoln

In the 5th against 12th region battle there was a high amount of energy from the players and the fans. The fan turnout for both schools was outstanding and there was hardly any seats to be filled. It was a slow tempo game from the start in which both teams were well suited. Calhoun hit a last second layup for Lincon County but they were still down 23-16 in a low scoring first half. This game was all about who made the most hustle plays and in the end Adair had just a little more than Lincoln which helped them seal the first round victory. Adair County had 3 starters in double figures, led by Kalen Kimberland's 11 points and 6 rebounds. Darren  Ballou added 10 points and 9 rebounds and Chris Lewis provided the winners with 12 points and 4 rebounds. Lincoln County was led by Ryan Young, who had 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. No other Patriot reached double figures for a team that averaged 67 points per game coming into the tournament.
